LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The melancholy conclusion of the highly anticipated series 'The Umbrella Academy has left die-hard fans in tears.
The show, which debuted on February 15, 2019, is based on the comics of the same name by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá and presents the crazy journey of seven adoptive siblings who share dysfunctional relationships and have unique abilities.
After a successful run of three seasons, the show concluded with its fourth and final season.
Amidst tough goodbyes in the finale, the park sequence revealed an abundance of cameos. So let's look at five Easter eggs that may have passed under your radar.
1. Hazel and Agnes were in the 'The Umbrella Academy' Season 4 park scene
Biding a lovely goodbye to the show, the climactic sequence in the park revealed a world without any alternative timeline where everyone is enjoying a regular and ideal existence.
Hazel (Cameron Britton) and Agnes (Sheila McCarthy), two of the most adored characters in the show, also appeared briefly in this segment.
Originally, Hazel was a brutal assassin for The Commission, but his life changed dramatically when he met the kind-hearted Agnes, a doughnut shop owner. Their love story offers one of the show's most heartfelt moments. When Hazel saw how empty his life as an assassin was, he opted to resist the Commission and flee with Agnes to a tranquil life.
Finally, Hazel and Agnes managed to escape the apocalypse by utilising a time-travel gadget. It was later found that Agnes and Hazel spent around 20 years together until Agnes died of cancer.
Hazel informs Five (Aidan Gallagher) that her death was painless and that they had cherished their time together. Now, seeing them together in another timeline was a real joy.
2. The Handler also made a finale appearance in the Park scene
Another surprise cameo came from our very own cunning and devious The Handler (Kate Walsh). She is seen conversing on the phone with headphones in her ears.
The Handler had a prominent position in the Commission, an enigmatic institution entrusted with safeguarding timelines.
Throughout the first two seasons of the show, she was a tough nut to crack and a formidable foe for the superhero siblings. The crafty woman is shot and dies in the last episode of Season 2.
3. Gabriel Bá also made a cameo in the finale moments of 'The Umbrella Academy'
As you may be aware, the show is based on renowned comics, and the writer, Gabriel Bá, of those comics also made a brief appearance towards the conclusion of the show.
Bá appeared in the show's park scene where he can be seen sketching for Dot (Patrice Goodman) and Herb (Ken Hall) from the Commission.
There is also an appearance of Bá's twin brother, Fábio Moon, sitting in the background.
4. Showrunner Steve Blackman had a very unique presence in 'The Umbrella Academy' park scene
Another surprising cameo appearance comes from showrunner Steve Blackman, who has a very unique presence in the show's park sequence.
One of the youngsters at the park is playing with a doll that looks precisely like him, complete with his black hat, jacket, and Diet co*ke, which he typically carries.
5. Five’s beloved Delores was also a part of 'The Umbrella Academy' park scene
In an adorable turn of events, viewers can also spot Five's favorite mannequin Delores in the park scene.
In previous seasons, Five referred to Delores as his companion when he lived in the post-apocalyptic future. It's a moving exploration of loneliness and the human need for connection, even under the most severe circ*mstances.
Despite his claim that she is his companion, Five admits that she is a mannequin, as shown in previous seasons of the show.
