The kids have spoken!
On Saturday, July 13, the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2024 kicked off live from the Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles, Calif., hosted by Nickelodeon’s own SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star (voiced by Tom Kenny and Bill fa*gerbakke) in honor of the show's 25th anniversary.
Attending the event were an array of stars including Kenan Thompson, Kel Mitchell, Serena Williams, Heidi Klum, Jelly Roll and Shameik Moore.
'Powerhouse' Serena Williams to Receive Legends Award at 2024 Kids Choice Awards (Exclusive)
First-time nominees included Halle Bailey, Austin Butler, Sabrina Carpenter, Kai Cenat, Timothée Chalamet, Luke Combs, Ariana DeBose, Ayo Edebiri, Ryan Gosling, Reneé Rapp, Margot Robbie and Paul Rudd.
The most-nominated star was Taylor Swiftwith six nods including best female artist, ticket of the year, favorite global music artist, favorite musical collaboration (for both “Karma (Remix)” and “Fortnight”) and favorite album. She ultimately took home three wins. Swift's boyfriend, Travis Kelce, also scored an orange blimp trophy for favorite male sports star.
Barbie was named favorite movie and star Margot Robbie was tapped as favorite movie actress. Other winners include Young Sheldon as favorite family TV show and Timothée Chalamet as favorite movie actor for his role as Willy Wonka in Wonka.
