The ODMHSAS Employee Appreciation Celebration is an annual event held to recognize the fantastic contributions of our staff across the state. EAC is a way for the agency as a whole to express its deep gratitude for all the amazing ways our employees impact Oklahomans. Below you will find each award, the finalists, and a short description of how their work has been elevated this year.

This award honors an individual whose tireless efforts and commitment ensure excellence in support of the agency’s mission and success within their own respective programs. Below are the finalists for the Administrative Professional Award:

Congratulations to Jamie Marsh on winning the Administrative Professional award!

This award is presented to an outstanding group of employees having a significant role in the implementation and effective delivery of a highly innovative idea, program or sustainable systems change initiative. Below are the finalists for the Breakthrough Innovation Award:

The Carl Albert Children's team has spent the past few years building an innovative children's program in rural Oklahoma, going above and beyond to meet the needs of consumers and families. They’ve partnered with community groups, led fundraising efforts, held weekly sessions, organized service events, and planned consumer outings. This incredible team is truly making a positive impact in Southeast Oklahoma.

After the destructive tornado hit Idabel in 2022, this team had to make significant changes to their work environment. They successfully ensured the community’s needs were met despite the challenges cause by the tornado and did not let this natural disaster stop them from providing the community with great service and care. We are so appreciative of CACMHC Idabel – thank you for your continuous efforts and contributions!

Tony Stelter, Lorrie Byrum, Kenneth Newberry, Victoria (Tori) Gaetan

This mighty team gathers and produces 988 data from Solari for Leadership and Behavioral Health providers statewide. They track individual consumer journeys through various providers and care levels using reports and dashboards. Their work optimizes resource use and enhances outcomes for those receiving 988 and other behavioral health services. The team embodies ODMHSAS core values, we are grateful to work alongside them!

The Griffin Pharmacy team enhanced our safety standards by improving their processes. They went above and beyond by assisting other facilities in implementing this interface, benefiting consumers and nursing staff across the state. Griffin is committed to providing quality customer service – thank you for your excellence!

Jennifer Wetzel, Jennifer Goss, Ellen Prewitt, LeAna

The Yellow Binder Project was introduced to support staff and manage critical incidents more effectively. With an average of 1-2 incidents per day, staff often struggle to input information accurately. These binders are placed throughout the facility and include all relevant policies and procedures. Staff are trained to use them, making it easier for both new and experienced employees to handle critical incidents. Thank you for being an innovative asset to our team!

This award stands for teamwork and innovative efforts. These team members are able to work together to break down silos and foster a spirit of team work to accomplish their goals. Below are the finalists for the Central Office Synergy Award:
